University of St.Gallen Master’s in Strategy and International Management receives top grade from the annual Financial Times international rankings.
The Financial Times published its annual rankings of international Master’s in Management programmes, placing the University of St.Gallen’s (HSG) Strategy and International Management programme (SIM- HSG) in the top position for a record ninth consecutive time.

“SIM approaches management education from a different perspective which sets us apart from many other programmes. We offer a holistic education that consciously includes the notion of personal growth and mastery. We put the question of purpose and values at the core while installing in the students the business acumen that they need as effective leaders,” said SIM-HSG Managing Director Prof. Dr. Omid Aschari. “Social responsibility and ethics are an integral part of their learning experiences and reflections.”
Based on a survey of business schools and their alumni, the annual Financial Times ranking weighs different criteria ranging from diversity, quality of faculty, aims achieved and placement success. The Financial Times annual analysis of universities has long been a benchmark of academic excellence worldwide.

In retaining the top spot in the 2019 rankings, the SIM programme has outperformed 99 other international higher education establishments and universities offering Master’s in Management programmes around the globe. HEC Paris was ranked in second place and the London Business School and ESSEC Business School were tied for third.
Earlier this year, the Economist also ranked St.Gallen’s SIM programme in second place in their global ranking.
