Sir Philip Green is preparing to separate the logistics operations for his Topshop and Topman chains from the rest of the Arcadia group.
To prepare for this, Arcadia has opened a new automated warehouse in Daventry, Northamptonshire, to oversee the orders for Topshop and Topman.
The orders were previously managed from Arcadia’s warehouse in Milton Keynes.
The fashion group’s chief executive Ian Grabiner is understood to be managing projects to seperate shared functions across Arcadia, which owns other fashion retailers such as Burton and Miss Selfridge.
In June, 75 % of Arcadia’s creditors approved its seven CVAs, which would result in 48 store closures and rent cuts on 194 stores.
Topman orders are already being handled from Daventry, with Topshop set to move over in the new year.
