TextileFuture’s brief comment: This seems to be a reaction to the worldwide attention of the ruling against the EU that was published on October 3, 2019. The EU will countervail the tax measures applied by the U.S.A. Because of the ruling trade tensions were increasing between the EU and the USA, because also the U.S. government has provided subsidies for Boeing, the hardest competitor of Airbus and it can be expected, that the arbitrator of WTO will give this time rule in favour of the EU allowing counter measures (punitive duties). The lapse of time between the two verdicts is certainly making waves on both sides of the Atlantic River!
