Diana Wyman selected by AATCC Board of Directors as new Executive Vice President
The Board of Directors for the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists announced today that Brian Francois, Executive Vice President for AATCC has decided to pursue another opportunity and will depart his current role effective July 26, 2019. The Board of Directors has voted to promote Diana Wyman to the role of Executive Vice President. Wyman currently serves as the Technical Director for AATCC. Wyman brings a passion for AATCC, its members, and the textile industry into her new role having held previous positions within AATCC as well as industry. Wyman has a BA in Fashion Merchandising from Radford University, an MS in Textiles from North Carolina State University, and an MBA from Meredith College.

EDANA elects new Board
Michael Staal Axelsen nominated as board chair amid renewed strategic ambition
EDANA, the leading global association serving the nonwovens and related industries, has elected new Governors and a new team of Officers for 2019 – 2020. EDANA elects new Board accepted the nomination of Chairman Mikael Staal Axelsen (Fibertex) and will be supported in the role by Vice-Chairs Omar Hoek (Ahlstrom-Munksjö, France) and David Lamb (Nonwovenn Ltd, UK). Paul Eevers’ (Unilever) position as Treasurer was also renewed. Announced at EDANA’s recent Annual Strategic Review and AGM in Vienna, the newly elected Board began their term on July 1st.
In addition to his long-standing support of the association as a board member, Mikael is a vocal participant in many of EDANA’s working groups, ever ready to facilitate constructive debate and garner support for EDANA’s growing range of initiatives. “This nomination is naturally an honour, but I take the true pleasure in collaborating with our members in their extensive and growing commitment to the evolution of our network” said Mr. Staal Axelsen. “At a time of rapid change and increased scrutiny on many fronts, it’s very encouraging to see such tangible momentum. My ongoing focus will be to ensure that these new frontiers are successfully crossed and that we maintain our strategic interests of stakeholder engagement, global outreach and sustainable growth.”

Personnel changes at BASF
Dirk Elvermann (47), until April 2019 Member of the Board of Wintershall Holding GmbH, Finance, Sales and Commercial, Kassel, will assume, as President, the division Finance. As already announced, his predecessor Marc Ehrhardt (50) will assume responsibility for the establishment of the new division Global Business Services, effective September 1, 2019, and subsequently its leadership.
VF Corporation Appoints Denny Bruce as Dickies® Global Brand President

Bruce will be responsible for all aspects of the brand’sglobal operations and performance. He will ensure the brand continues delivering compelling products supported by experiential campaigns that drive consumer acquisition. He will oversee the brand’s wholesale and direct-to-consumer businesses, including a focus on Digital. Bruce will also be responsible for continually strengthening the Dickies® team and its capabilities to drive profitable growth through the activation of its strategic plan globally.
Prior to joining VF, Bruce was Executive Vice President of Sales, Product and Marketing at Traeger Pellet Grills. There, he and his team drove disruptive growth in a USD 10 billion industry and quadrupled the company’s revenue and earnings during a four-year period.
Before that, Bruce was part of the leadership team at Skullcandy where he was Vice President of Domestic Sales. Among his accomplishments, Bruce helped create an aspirational lifestyle brand while growing revenue to $300 million, leading to an initial public offering on Nasdaq. Bruce also held roles at Vans® and Burton Snowboards.
