Addition of global fashion retailer part of Mall’s major redevelopment
H&M, Hennes and Mauritz Inc., one of the world’s largest fashion retailers famous for offering fashion-forward apparel at affordable prices in a sustainable way, has announced a new location at Ford City Mall in Chicago, Illinois. The approximately 23,000 square-foot store is set to open in the fall of 2018. This marks another milestone in the mall’s multimillion dollar renovation designed by Chicago based OKW Architects.
According to Tracy Munno, General Manager of Ford City Mall, H&M is one of the retailers most requested by the mall’s shopper base. “H&M is such a popular, dynamic brand, and the perfect fit for Ford City. We’re excited to offer our customers the latest trends at great prices,” she says. “With all the improvements already taken place with the mall’s redevelopment, H&M is such a great addition.”
The new H&M location will offer quality clothing for the whole family, with collections for ladies, men and teens, as well as separate “store within a store” sections for accessories. The Ford City Mall location will also carry the H&M Kids collection for newborns to 14 year olds. The breadth and variety of H&M collections make it easier for any consumer to find fashionable products, no matter their personal style. With an emphasis on design, quality, and sustainability, H&M offers inspiring, high fashion at an unbeatable value.
H&M prides itself on its support of local economies by adding jobs with each new location and the new Ford City Mall location will add approximately 20 job opportunities.
