Chanel’s new Flagship Store will sell limited-Edition Bags, Fragrances, and Watches

Chanel’s newly-redesigned flagship store on New York City’s 57th Street is unlike any other. Nearly every aspect of the boutique oasis is one-of-a-kind, including what’s sure to be the It bag of the season: a limited-edition, embellished 2.55 shoulder bag that’s exclusive to the 57th street store. Whether a casual browser or serious shopper of the brand, we highly recommend a trip to fashion heaven next time you find yourself in the neighborhood.

After a much-anticipated re-opening, Chanel has done all its fans proud, officially opening the doors on the largest boutique in the history of the fashion house. First debuting in 1996, the 57th street location now boasts more than 14,000 square feet of retail space. And that not only includes a 5-floor staircase with a gigantic pearl necklace-lookalike sculpture cascading down the center from artist Jean-Michel Othoniel, but also a two-room VIP suite, as well as couches and rugs made of their signature tweed. Not to mention, a room that’s made to look like Coco Chanel’s own living room in Paris.

Jean-Michel’s sculpture is not the only epic piece of art that graces the space. There is a second commission by the artist in the back of the foyer as you walk in, as well as a total of 35 other works by 24 artists from 12 different countries. The concept came from the genius of designer Peter Marino, who has been collaborating with the fashion house for almost 30 years.

Aside from the incredible décor and design of the space, the store also boasts some limited-edition pieces only sold there. There will be the aforementioned limited-edition 2.55 shoulder bag with pins and charms that are all NYC-centric, including a taxi cab, Broadway sign, and more; a signature fragrance; as well as an exclusive stainless steel Code Coco watch.
