The Zurich Hotel School bid goodbye to their professionals on Saturday March 11, 2023 to start a new professional career. The departing 33 persons received their diploma as Hotel or Restaurant specialists.
Numerous guests, among family members and personalities from politics, the association and the industry environment were assisting the graduation party.
You have to have the flair for trends and you have to inspire and surprise your guests, declared Bruno Lustenberger, Bord member from Gastrosuissse in his salute. With a view to the five-point plan launched by GastroSuisse to combat the shortage of skilled workers, Lustenberger motivated the recent graduates to continue their education and act as ambassadors for the next generation of the industry. Adrian Aeschlimann, Head of Training at the HFZ, also acknowledges the graduates by referring to their extensive specialist knowledge, with which they will master the challenges of the future. Fred Heinzelmann, Director of the HFZ, emphasizes that in the course of its transformation process, the HFZ will continue to maintain the demand for high-quality training in an excellent environment. “Be proud of your award, wear it to the outside world,” he encouraged the graduates at the end. GastroSuisse is the association for the hotel and restaurant industry in Switzerland. Around 20000 members, including around 2500 hotels, organized in 26 cantonal associations and five specialist groups, belong to the largest hospitality employers’ association.
