European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, is in Canada for a two-day visit from 6 until 8 March, where she met with the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.
The visit focuses on strengthening the EU-Canada partnership on shared and urgent priorities, including maintaining a robust response to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine; fighting climate change and accelerating clean innovation; pursuing energy security and sustainable economic growth; and promoting women’s economic empowerment.
