In this era of greater transparency and accountability, the wool industry explores its role in a future of sustainable apparel and interiors
Opening Monday, May 14, 2018 in Hong Kong, that essential sourcing hub for the world’s most prestigious fashion and interior textile retailers, the IWTO Congress brings together representatives from all stages of the global wool textile supply chain.
“The programme we have put together for the Congress will review and reflect on global sourcing in this era of much greater transparency and accountability,” says IWTO President Peter Ackroyd.
“Our speakers will address how the wool industry can continue to play a leading, high-profile role in the world of sustainable fashion and interiors.”
The speaker line-up begins with Keynote Speaker Mr Stephen Wong, former Regional Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, and ends with former international cyclist Roddy Riddle, whose diagnosis with Type 1 diabetes led him to extreme marathons – and to wool.
The IWTO Congress takes place 14-16 May.
